A Lovely Day
written by William Henry Davies
From "My Garden", 1933 Link to further information

A cloudless path from East to West,
Undimmed, and shining still -
The Sun has died as he was born,
And only changed his hill.

What words can praise him for this day,
To show my joy and pride -
But that I'd give my life for it,
And die, as he has died.
